Prostate supplements have become more and more popular among men. Why is that so? Well it is reported that men ages 50 and above are the likely candidate to have a prostate cancer. In fact, hospitals and health institutes have reported that there were men below 40 who were diagnosed with prostate cancer. That is pretty scary right?

Many men, out of desperation, put the blame of getting the disease to their forefathers. But, they can't always just put the blame to their ancestors as gene is not the only cause of the disease. If one would only be vigilant enough to check for the telltale signs of prostate cancer and eat the right food, one can simply reduce the chance of getting the disease and the 'inheritance' won't be passed on onto them.

The thing that one needs to do is regular test screening. It is the first step in preventing and managing the early stages of prostate cancer. The earlier you get to discover the problems in your body, the higher chances of recovery. The second step, and the most important one, is to get adequate intake of your daily prostate supplements. You can get enough of these prostate supplements in your daily nutritional intake by incorporating in your diet foods that are rich in lycopene, isoflavones, sulforaphane and polyphenols, where all of these are the anti-cancer chemicals.

For some people, they would find their way to pharmancy to get off the shelve supplements to replenish their lack of nutrition. Well you don't need to buy prostate supplements in vanilla shake or in pills. In fact eating the right foods will do. For example, to get your regular dose of prostate supplements of lycopene, all you need to eat is two servings of food with tomato sauce in a week. You do not need to worry about eating too much as there would be no 'overdose' of natural prostate supplements if you add more helpings of lycopene rich foods since your body will just excrete the excesses naturally.

So what are other natural foods that are rich in natural prostate supplements? Soy-based food, such as soy sauce, Soya milk, and tofu are rich in isoflavones. Cauliflowers and broccolis contain sulforaphane that can help the cells cope up with the damage caused by cancer cells. Drinking a glass of red wine can immediately slow down the growth of tumors and cancer cells because of the high percentage of polyphenols in red wine. Green tea is also an alternative for people who can't tolerate the alcohol in red wine.

You don't need a dietary overhaul to get the right amount of prostate supplements in cancer preventive foods. Just add up these foods in your diet and trim off foods that accelerate growth of cancer such as grilled meats and processed foods and you will definitely keep yourself healthy.
